The SONOFF BASICR4 Wi-Fi Smart Switch represents an advanced upgrade in the realm of smart home technology. The BASICR4 introduces three innovative features: Magic Switch Mode, Auxiliary Overheating Protection, and "eWeLink-Remote" Control. The Magic Switch Mode allows for continued app control of the light switch even when a traditional wall switch is turned off, provided it is compatible with certain double pole rocker switches and the connected lighting fixtures are compatible with specified LED, energy-saving lamps, or incandescent lamps.
The BASICR4 also serves as a smart switch with gateway capabilities through the "eWeLink-Remote," which, when paired with compatible devices such as S-Mate2 or R5, enables two-way and local control. Additionally, the product is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor that monitors the maximum temperature of the device, safeguarding against potential hazards such as deformation, melting, or fire due to overheating. The BASICR4 is not only compliant with standard certifications such as CE and FCC but has also achieved the more prestigious ETL certification.
